Motility
Progressive vs. total motility. Sperm that don't move don't fertilise — and motility falls earlier with age than concentration does.

Morphology
Strict-criteria assessment of normal forms. A sensitive marker for testicular stress, heat exposure and oxidative damage.

DNA fragmentation
DFI — the proportion of sperm with broken DNA strands. The single strongest predictor of embryo quality and recurrent miscarriage. Almost never run in standard clinic panels.
